Team Effort - Finally Realised what it is
I was an Anti-Team guy. Most of the time thinking Individual performances matter rather than team performance, and finally i have learnt what exactly team effort is from yesterdays game of rugby. The bangalore league has started with 4 teams participating,Black Bucks(im in this team), Black Bears, Army, The Refugees(all foreigners). Our First round was against the most experienced Refugees, the favourites for this game and our team had around 10 new comers out of 15, , but the table turned out to a 21-19 to our side. At times, wen i was tired, wen i culdnt run and protect the ball, i felt they would score a try but i saw r mates chasing and recovering the ball, and me continuing wen a few were tired. finally i realized this was team effort and nothing else.

I always loved watching rugby on TV, especially the Aussies, the English and the kiwis dominating the game. My other favorites include football, ice hockey, and the Formula 1. I never dreamt India having a national Rugby team. Last weekend my dad noticed this advertisement in the times by the Bangalore rugby club, which mentioned, anyone interested to play rugby are welcome but must meet the requirements, like height above 5’8, weight above 80 kgs and must have had an achievement in other sports previously. I felt the person whom they were expecting was me, I’m 6ft, 82 kgs and ofkors a past experience with sport. I immediately checked out the website, contacted the person in charge and he wants me to visit them this Sunday for a game of rugby. I’m a bit nervous whether id perform or not, but still have the confidence remembering those school days when I flicked chocos, Tiffin boxes, story books and ran like hell, though the rugby ball is not soo closer to the size of all those……

20 years ago she was fighting a lone battle, now its an infinite number of followers. Thats the magic of medha ji, Shes the founder of NBA( Narmada Bachao Andholan), which has a million members protesting against the governments decision of continuing with the construction of the Sardar Sarovar dam. But y? coz this dam alone would submerge more than 37 000 hectares of forest and agricultural land and displace some 320 000 people whose livelihoods depend on these resources. Shes already in her 20+ days of hunger Strike, and we, cant spend a day without chips, pani poories etc. thats wat makes her different. On one hand i hope the govt agrees to her appeals and she be safe and on the other, i feel she should break the record of bhagat singhs 50 days, hmmm such a cruel mind right. Thats how the modern youth are and i represent them, hhhahah.

BURMA BAZAAR/NATIONAL MARKET- OUR OWN RISK
Though i dont have the patience of watching movies a couple of times, i jus wanted to have a few good and most-liked movies in my bag. this was coz i bought a new dvd player a week back. And the first choice for most bangaloreans is burma bazaar or the national market. And it was an awesome experience jus looking at the combination dvds, for eg: one combination was satya, the kama***** and the animated movie Hanuman. wat the f***. Great combinations. Finally bought a few movies like black, dch, rdb, The matrix - all 3 versions. but after reaching home, i culd find 1 movie missing in each of the dvds, and that was the movie i mainly intended to buy, hmm, better watch the movie renting a dvd was my next thought. anyways i am proud to have a few dvds - however itis, to make my dvd player smile and feel happy, atleast 1 is sitting on its lap always, though not played......

X-BOYS JOIN HANDS FOR CHARITY
AT LAST, the dream of doing something to the society is turning its way. All guys have agreed to fund a child in his basic education. ofkors we are starting of in a small way, but i assure this group would reach high and achieve the unimaginable in the coming days. This is the only group i guess which has around 15-20 CEOS and we are targetting to have around 30 to 40 CEOS in around 5 to 8 years. Wondering howcome 5-8 yrs , coz we all will get married by that time and we shall introduce new members too.hahah.
Starting off by funding known children who are economically backward and cannot afford for their education. In future maybe we will concentrate on providing books and clothes to chosen schools in rural areas. Initial members are Xboys, maybe later on we would include the highly interested ones. hope we succeed in our work.
Finally the group name: XBCG - X boys charity Group.

SHOULD INDIA FOLLOW CHINA IN BLOCKING GOOGLE!!!
A new action from the chinese govt, blocking google. This issue created a lot of choas in the minds of chinese citizens, and an argument came "whether india should follow this too". This news got me by surprise, wen i first heard about it, and i had a strong answer " But Y google", and India too wants to follow the same. I felt sorry for most of the indian professors who rely only on google. Then the actual fact came through, chinese govt planning to block a few phrases like " Teen pregnancy","homosexuality","anti govt sites","dating". dhad came the reply from me, wat is India waiting for??.

Everyone loves Tom hanks isint it?? If u realy don know who this chap is let me tell u !! "Born in Concord, California, Hanks was the product of divorce and traveled the States with his father and two siblings. His longest stint in any grammar school was six months, which made him painfully shy yet prone to being a prankster. This was actually his first taste of acting, which continued in high school where he became the class clown.
In 1990, audiences saw him in Joe Versus the Volcano and The Bonfire of the Vanities, neither of which were runaway hits. Three years later he had two winners with Sleepless in Seattle and Philadelphia, winning his first Oscar for the latter.
His second Oscar for Best Actor came the very next year for Forrest Gump, the lovable antihero who taught us that "Life is like a box of chocolates." In true Forrest fashion, Hanks was invited to celebrate his victory with Princess Diana at Kensington Palace.
Like King Midas, everything Hanks touches seems to turn to gold. He would go on to direct his first feature, That Thing You Do, and From the Earth to the Moon (both well received). Films he starred in such as Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, Cast Away and Road to Perdition had excellent showings at the box office. He was nominated for two more Oscars (Saving Private Ryan and Cast Away), and won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in Cast Away (2000). His look-alike son, actor Colin Hanks (b. 1977), and daughter Elizabeth Hanks (b. 1982), are from his first marriage to Samantha Lewes. Since 1985, Hanks has been married to actress Rita Wilson. They have two children, Chester (b. 1990) and Truman (b. 1995).
